The Green Room, a Creative Wellness Residency, opens at One uCity Square
Philadelphia’s creative community turned out in force Friday, April 24 for the grand opening of the Green Room, a new creative wellness studio at One uCity Square. The free event, presented by Forbidden Fruit Creative Wellness in partnership with Meantime, introduced a popup space designed to bridge art, healing, and collaboration in one accessible and culturally-rooted central hub.
Attendees toured the studio, connected with fellow artists and wellness practitioners, and got an early look at programming that aims to serve as both a creative incubator and a restorative environment. Situated at 37th & Cuthbert Streets in University City, the venue placed guests within walking distance of a broader neighborhood activation. Visitors flowed between the Green Room and nearby attractions, including an outdoor film preview hosted by CineSpeak, a beer garden pop-up from Two Locals Brewing Company, and a vendor marketplace curated by West Philly Bizarre along Lancaster Avenue. It also featured live music and art installations by DumoLab Research.
Through May, the Green Room will host weekly workshops, networking sessions, and wellness-focused events aimed at fostering community and creative growth.
