Do you have an eye for design, a creative side, or a fun t-shirt design? We want you to create a t-shirt design that encompasses the innovative spirit of uCity Square.

DESIGN COMPETITION INFORMATION

Design Guidelines

  • Design within 10″ x 14″ portrait format
  • Design must incorporate elements unique to either West Philly or to uCity Square (uCity Square is located between 34th and 38th Street and between Market Street and Lancaster Avenue)
  • No profanity, trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works of any other person or business ​
  • No animals​ or AI-generated images​
  • Design will be printed on neutral light or dark t-shirt color​
  • Design is intended for adults of all genders​
  • Design can contain up to 4 colors ​
  • When uploading your design you may choose to add an artist statement of up to 250 words
  • Acceptable file types: .ai, .eps, .pdf, or high-resolution png preferred
  • The application will close 11:59 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025

Design Prompts

  • What do you see, feel, or hear in the uCity Square community? (uCity Square is located between 34th and 38th Street and between Market Street and Lancaster Ave)
  • How would you visually represent West Philly, uCity Square, and the innovative sciences in the area?

Reward

  • The chosen design will be printed and given out to the uCity Square community
  • The designer/artist will be given two t-shirts of desired size
  • If desired, the designer/artist will be tagged and mentioned in a uCity Square Instagram post featuring the design
  • The designer/artist will receive a $50 Elixr coffee gift card (located at 3675 Market Street)
