Ecosystem Partners Gather Industry Leaders at Nuclear Medicine Symposium
Radiopharmaceuticals is experiencing rapid national growth and is poised for greater investment and patient care breakthroughs, with Philadelphia uniquely positioned to be the leader at the intersection of science, clinical practice, and industry.
Last Thursday, partners including Wexford Science & Technology, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, Life Sciences Pennsylvania, Penn Center for Innovation, and University City Science Center hosted the Nuclear Medicine Symposium at uCity Square.
The symposium featured subject matter experts and leaders focused on radiopharmaceuticals: advancing research, delivering care, commercializing new technologies, and investing in what’s next, including:
- Remarks by Claire Marrazzo Greenwood at Chamber & CEO Council for Growth and John Grady at Wexford
- Keynote by Sumit Verma, CEO of TAG1 Inc. and Co-founder & Partner at Orchestra Life Sciences
- Panel: Scaling the Radiopharmaceutical Ecosystem with intro by John Swartley, MBA, PhD, at Penn Center for Innovation, moderated by Travis McCready at JLL, and panelists: Audrey Greenberg at Mayo Clinic, James M. Metz, MD, at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Reid Tanaka at TerraPower, and Carl v. Gall, MD at Siemens Healthineers
- Fireside Chat: Innovation, Investment, and the Future of Radiopharma with intro from Christopher Molineaux at LSPA, moderated by Jon A. Epstein, MD, at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and speakers Steve Hahn, MD at Nucleus RadioPharma, Jeff Marrazzo at Dispatch Bio, and Mark Mintun, MD at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals/Eli Lilly and Company
The biggest takeaway: it’s the right time for Greater Philadelphia to build on its leadership in cell and gene therapy and help shape what’s next in life sciences. We have the research base, clinical infrastructure, manufacturing talent, and logistics network to support radiopharmaceuticals, ultimately expanding access to more precise cancer diagnostics and lifesaving therapies for patients.
A special thanks to our sponsors for supporting the event: JLL, Ballard Spahr LLP, Jacobs, the Science Center, and Steamfitters Local 420.
